This past Saturday, Deputy Chris Dorr, along with the Department of Transportation, participated in a bicycle safety program held at, and sponsored by, the Boonville, NY Elks Lodge 2158. Deputy Dorr spoke to the children about the rules of the road, how to properly wear helmets, accident prevention, and inspecting your bike before a ride. The Elks also provided free helmets and a free lunch to all of the children in attendance.
