According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome man was injured in a motor vehicle accident on Route 49 in the Town of Floyd. On 04/26/2019 at 11:11AM, Frank Tallarino, age 73, of Rome was operating a 2010 Nissan Sentra west on Route 49 when he rear ended a 1996 Dump truck being operated by Todd Weston, age 55, of Taberg. After colliding with the dump truck, Tallarino's vehicle collided with the guide rail in the center median causing the vehicle to roll over onto its roof. Tallarino was treated and transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital by AmCare Ambulance, for complaints of back pain. He was issued a traffic summons for unsafe lane change. Weston was not injured. New York State Police and Floyd Fire Dept assisted on scene.
