According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Utica man was arrested for sending indecent material to a minor. Utica Police Investigator Frederick Bruzzese III and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, both assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Sheldon Olin, 18, with one count of Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor in the First Degree, a D Felony. Inv. Bruzzese said that Olin sent the indecent material to a twelve year old female child while in the City of Utica. Olin was arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Court and was sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on $2,500 bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible. The victim has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.
