According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, 3 people were sent to the hospital following a 2 car motor vehicle accident in the Town of Westmoreland.

On August 10th, 2019, at approximately 12:55 pm, 3 people were sent to area hospitals for evaluation of minor injuries after 2 cars collided near the intersection of Route 233 and Route 5. The accident occurred when a 2016 Jeep, operated by Chrystal Fox-McCormick, 37, of Oriskany Falls, attempted to leave the parking lot of the Cliffs Market, pulling in front of a 2012 Kia operated by Timothy Drake, 44, of Oneida. The 2 vehicles collided, causing the Kia to come to rest on its side in the roadway. Both Fox-McCormick and Drake, as well as a passenger from Drake's vehicle were transported to area hospitals for evaluation of minor injuries.

Fox-McCormick was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way, returnable to Westmoreland Town Court at a later date.
