According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on Wednesday May 27, 2020, at about 7:48 P.M., Deputies responded to Canning Factory Road in the Town of Marshall for a reported ATV accident with injuries. Investigation into the accident determined that Cody L. Jipson, (28) of Waterville, was operating a red 2013 Honda dirt bike in an easterly direction on Canning Factory Road, when he attempted to avoid an animal in the roadway. Jipson subsequently lost control and collided with a guard rail, causing injuries. Jipson was transported to St. Elizabeth’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Jipson was issued several tickets returnable to Marshall Town Court. Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by the Waterville Fire Department and Central Oneida County Ambulance.
