According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy…
According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center(CAC), a Trenton man was arrested by members of the CAC on 6/9/2020 as the result of a CAC investigation.
Robert DeLand, age 28, was arrested by OCSO Sergeant M. Bolton and OCSO Inv. Mark Chrysler for one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.
The investigation revealed that in March 2020, during a SnapChat conversation with a 15 year old female child, that DeLand had solicited nude photographs from the child.
Deland was issued an appearance ticket made returnable to Remsen Town Court at a later date. An order of protection will be requested through the court. The victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
