Update: Motor Vehicle Crash Muck Road C/Rome

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome woman was hospitalized after her involvement in a motor vehicle crash on Muck Road in the City of Rome. On today's date, at approximately 4:09 PM, Theresa Edelman, 87, of Rome was driving westbound on Muck Road when she experienced a medical episode. Edelman's vehicle struck several mailboxes and a National Grid utility pole before stopping on Muck Road. The utility pole was heavily damaged and blocked traffic on Muck Road.

Edelman suffered minor injuries, but was transported by AmCare ambulance to Rome Memorial hospital for further evaluation. Members of the New York State Police and City of Rome Fire assisted on scene. The scene was turned over to National Grid.
