According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the westbound lanes of Route 49 in the Town of Marcy at the Cavanaugh Road exit, including the on-ramp to Route 49 has been re-opened completely and traffic has been restored. Westbound traffic on Route 49 and the on-ramp to westbound Route 49 had been slowed due to a motor vehicle crash which occurred at that location. There was a separate and unrelated motor vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of route 49 in the same area which is being investigated by the New York State Police.
