According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 36 year old Rome man has been arrested for having sexual contact with a 14 year old female.

On September 26, 2020 the Child Advocacy Center was contacted by an Officer from the Rome Police Department who had received a report that 36 year old, Carl Croniser smoked marihuana with a 14 year old female and also had sexual contact with her.

Utica Police Department Investigator Titus Ciccone, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, conducted the investigation.

On October 12, 2020, Investigator Titus Ciccone assisted by Oneida County Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Chrysler,arrested Carl Croniser in the Town of Camden, charging him with two counts of Sexual Abuse in the third degree (B Misdemeanors) and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanors).

Carl Croniser was issued an appearance made returnable to Rome City Court on a later date and released.

An Order of Protection has been requested on behalf of the victim and services have been offered through the Child Advocacy Center.
