According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Watertown teen was hospitalized after a motor vehicle crash on West Main Street in Westmoreland just before 4:00 PM today. John H. Moore 21, of Watertown was driving a Lincoln sedan west on West Main Street when the vehicle began to pull right due to mechanical failure. Moore lost control and struck an unoccupied Chevrolet pickup which was parked on the north shoulder of the road. Moore's passenger, Marry K. House 17, also of Watertown, was transported by COCVAC ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital for evaluation with a complaint of abdominal pain. Moore was cited for operating a vehicle without insurance and issued a ticket returnable to Westmoreland Town Court. Members of Westmoreland Fire and COCVAC ambulance assisted with the injured and Westmoreland Fire Police assisted with traffic control as traffic was slowed to a single lane for approximately one hour.
