According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Utica man was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs after a personal injury motor vehicle crash on Paul Becker Road in the Town of Marcy early this morning. Deputies were dispatched to Paul Becker Road in Marcy just after 1:30 AM for a report of a vehicle off the road into trees. Investigation determined that Andrew J. Milone 57, of Utica was operating a CNY Taxi van westbound on Paul Becker Road, failed to stop for a stop sign and continued westbound into several trees. Milone's rear passenger, Jessica Colon 26, of Marcy was transported by Kunkel Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica where she was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries. A Deputy assigned to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office DWI enforcement Unit who is also a certified Drug Recognition Expert responded to the scene, administered sobriety tests to Milone and took him into custody. Milone has been charged with DWAI-Drugs and Failing to stop at the stop sign and issued tickets returnable to Marcy Town Court. Members of Maynard Fire and Kunkel ambulance assisted on scene.
