Today, the Sheriff’s Office was honored to participate in a parade of police cars, fire trucks, and local VFW’s honoring Burton Jones on his 100th birthday! SSgt. Burton Jones is also a decorated WWII Veteran. Sheriff Maciol presented Burton with the credentials making him an Honorary Member of the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Maciol also presented a proclamation on behalf of Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. declaring today “Burton Jones Day in Oneida County”. Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri was also on hand to present Burton with a City of Utica Proclamation. Happy Birthday and thank you for your service SSgt. Jones !
