According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 20 year old Utica man, Abdallah Mohamed, has been arrested for subjecting a 15 year old female child to sexual contact.

On August 15, 2021, the Utica Police Department received a report that a 15 year old girl had been subjected to sexual contact by an unknown adult male while in the City of Utica. Utica Police Department Investigator Titus Ciccone, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, conducted the investigation.

On September 22, 2021, Investigator Ciccone, assisted by Rome Police Department, Detective Alex Sypnewski arrested Abdallah Mohamed, in the City of Utica, charging him with one count of Sexual Misconduct (A Misdemeanor). Mohamed was arraigned on the charge in Utica City Court, and was remanded to the Oneida County Jail with bail set at $5,000 cash / $7,500 bond. An Order of Protection has been issued on behalf of the victim and services have been offered to the victim through the Child Advocacy Center.
