According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Child Advocacy Center(CAC), a Town of Lee man has been indicted by the Oneida County Grand Jury for having sexual contact with a female child less than 11 years old.

The investigation began on July 11, 2021, and was assigned to OCSO Sergeant Melissa Bolton, who is assigned to the CAC. As a result of the investigation, it was learned that Randy Come Jr., age 36, had sexual contact with the female child on more than one occasion, in the Town of Lee.

The investigation was turned over to the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office, where the case was presented to the Oneida County Grand Jury in October 2021. Come Jr. was indicted on the following charges:

Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a Class A-ll Felony

Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a Class B Felony

Attempted Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a Class C Felony

2 Counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class D Felony

2 Counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor

On November 4, 2021, as a result of the indictment, a Superior Court Warrant of Arrest was issued for Come Jr. On November 9, 2021, Come Jr. was located at a residence in the Town of Lee by members of the OCSO Warrants Unit and the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility, pending arraignment on November 10, 2021. Come Jr. was arraigned in Oneida County Court on November 10, 2021, and remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on no bail.

A stay away order of protection is in place for the Victim, who has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
