According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M Maciol, on the 29th of December 2021, at approximately 1:00 PM a search warrant was executed at 4679 Commercial Drive New Hartford NY “Smoke and Vapor Shop”. The search warrant was the result of a criminal investigation stemming from the December 15th, 2021 incident at Oneida Herkimer Madison BOCES. The investigation revealed the “Smoke and Vapor Shop” was unlawfully selling concentrated cannabis to person(s) under the age of 21.

As a result of the search warrant, a significant quantity of THC vape cartridges/concentrated cannabis were seized.

This investigation is ongoing and charges may be filed in the future.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit was assisted by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Warrants Unit, and New Hartford Police Department.
