According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a suspect from the April 15th Armed Robbery at the Stewart’s Shop in the Town of Bridgewater has been arrested. Hamadi Muya, age 22, of Utica has been arrested on the charge of Robbery in the 1st degree (Class B Felony).

On today’s date, the METRO SWAT Team executed a search warrant at Muya’s residence. Muya was taken into custody at a separate location without incident. Muya is currently on Parole for a previous Armed Robbery charge. He was booked on the above charge and brought to Oneida County Jail to await CAP Court.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted during this lengthy investigation by the Utica Police Department, the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office, and New York State Parole.
