According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on July 13, 2022, Deputies responded to 69 Main Street, The Good Life Tavern, in the Village of Camden for a Fight.

Upon arrival, Deputy Portner determined that Samantha L. Russell, age 26 of Taberg, and the female victim were involved in a verbal argument that became physical. Samantha physically assaulted the female victim causing injury to her right leg which required surgery. On July 15, 2022, Upon completion of the investigation, Samantha was taken into custody at a family member's residence in the City of Rome.

She was charged with Assault in the 3rd a Class A Misdemeanor, and lodged in Oneida County Jail to await CAP Court arraignment.
