According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on January 14, 2023, at approximately 10:43 AM Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a physical domestic in progress at 3310 Simmons Rd in the Town of Vernon.

Deputies determined that Jacob A Shoen 23, of Vernon, was taken into custody and charged with the following; Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (a Class A Misdemeanor) and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (a Class A Misdemeanor).

Shoen was transported to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Building where he was processed under the listed charges, and brought to the Oneida County Jail where he was held pending appearance at Centralized Arrangement.
