According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, on Friday, June 09, 2023, at approximately 11:35 pm, Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the area of Mill St and State Route 365 in the Town of Floyd for a reported single-vehicle personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Robert Anna, of Rome, was operating a 2019 Chevy Pick-Up truck Northbound on Mill St in the Town of Floyd, when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with State Route 365. Anna's vehicle struck a utility pole on the Northern shoulder of State Route 365, causing downed power lines in the roadway.

Anna was evaluated on scene and signed off with medical personnel.

Subsequent to investigation, Anna was taken into custody for DWI and issued UTTs returnable to the Town of Floyd LCC at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by members of the Floyd Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance.
