According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert

Maciol, on Friday, June 23rd, at approximately

6:12 pm, Deputies responded to the area of State Route 12 and Kerwin Road, in the Town of

Boonville for a two car Motor Vehicle Personal Injury accident.

After an investigation, it was determined that a Juvenile, of Lee Center, and Shearon Weaver of Forestport were traveling southbound on Route 12 in the Town of Boonville, It was determined Shearon was attempting to make a left hand turn on Kerwin Rd, when the Juvenile operator was following closely and failed to apply the brakes quickly enough, striking the rear of Shearon's vehicle, Shearon Weaver was evaluated on scene for injuries and signed off by Boonville Fire department.

The Juvenile sustained minor injuries and was transported by a private party to Rome Memorial Hospital to be evaluated for minor injuries. The Juvenile's name will not be released due to age.
