According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, at 1229pm on the 1st of August 2024 Deputies responded to a New Floyd Rd. In the Town of Floyd for a personal injury motorcycle accident.

Andrew Ryfun, 38, of Madison County was operating a 2012 Harley Davidson eastbound on New Floyd Rd. when his rear tire blew causing him to lose control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle exited the roadway on the south shoulder where Ryfun was ejected. Ryfun sustained non life threatening injuries due to the accident and was transported by Mercy Flight to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment.

Deputies were assisted on scene by members of the NY State Police and the Floyd Fire Department.
