On August 22nd, 2024 at about 740 P.M.

On August 22nd, 2024 at about 740 P.M. Deputies responded to a 2 car personal injury accident that occurred on State Route 233 in front of the Stewart's gas station in the Town of Westmoreland.

Deputies determined that Nicholas Jones (21) was operating a 2018 Honda Civic northerly on State Route 233 turning into the Stewart's parking lot when he failed to yield the right of way to a 2019 Audi going southerly on State Route 233 being operated by Allison Corigliano (23). Nicholas and his passenger Kyleigh Jones (12) were transported to Rome Hospital with minor injuries, and Allison was treated on scene with a minor abrasion.

Nicholas was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way for the Town of Westmoreland Court. Deputies were assisted by the Westmoreland Fire Department, Central Oneida County Ambulance, the New York State Police, Upstate Auto, and RJ's Auto and Tire.
