Over the past week members of the Sheriff’s Office joined the City of Utica, NY Police Department, City of Rome, NY Police Department, New York State Police, Amsterdam Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office - NY, Johnstown Police Department N.Y., and Mohawk Valley Community College Campus Safety at the Mohawk Valley Police Academy for Bicycle School.

This five day course is designed for law enforcement personnel utilizing bicycles for patrol activities. The course combines classroom training with practical application exercises. Students will learn cycling techniques involving obstacles such as stairs, curbs, parking lots and off-road trails.

Congratulations to - Sergeant Gibbons, Deputy Alshaman, Deputy Brashear, Deputy Brognano, Deputy McDaniels, and Deputy Paciello from Oneida County.
