Veteran Of the Game, LLC (VOTG) works with all major and minor league baseball teams to honor veterans with in-stadium military appreciation programs and recognitions.

Please join us in congratulating Oneida County Sheriff‘s Office Investigator Ed Constantine, who will be honored by the New York Yankees tonight. During the 7th inning stretch, Ed will be brought out onto the field at Yankee Stadium, introduced to the crowd, and will be recognized during the singing of "God Bless America."

Tonight’s game between the Yankees and the Kansas City Royals begins at 7 pm.

Investigator Constantine served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 2009 to 2013. He then served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 2014 to 2017. During his time in the military, he served two tours overseas. One tour was in Afghanistan in 2011 and one was in Kuwait in 2012. He retired from the military with the rank of Sergeant. The Military awards that he received include National Defense Medal, Global War on terrorism service medal, Good Conduct Medal, Global War on terrorism expeditionary medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Meritorious Unit Citation.

Investigator Constantine joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2015 and was promoted from Deputy to Investigator in 2022. He is currently assigned to the Sheriff’s Domestic Violence Unit and Mental Health /Crisis Response Unit. He is partnered up with “Addie”, the agency’s one year old golden retriever emotional support dog.
