According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, the Oneida County Sherriff's Office has been made aware of a threat circulating on social media platforms which specifically mentions an incident occurring at "BOCES tomorrow at 11:30." To date, this threat has been found to be not credible within Oneida County. A threat using the identical language reporting an incident at "BOCES tomorrow at 11:30" was reported yesterday in Ashville New York which is south of Buffalo. At no time was any BOCES location within Oneida County named specifically in any of these social media postings. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has worked directly with our local BOCES administrations and other local law enforcement agencies today to maintain increased visibility and vigilance of our Oneida County BOCES campuses in lieu of the vague nature of this threat. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is always committed to ensuring the safety of our schools and communities.
