Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol announces the arrest of one of Oneida County’s 2024 Top Ten Most Wanted.

Leonard M. Atkins, age 58 of Whitestown, NY, had been wanted since November of 2022, by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office on an active Bench Warrant for the charge of Felony Aggravated DWI with a Child.

On October 3rd, 2024; at about 6:12 pm, Investigator’s from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit working in conjunction with Investigators from the Utica Police Department's GIVE and Warrants Unit's located and arrested Atkins at his residence in the Town of Whitestown.

Once in custody, Atkins was transported to the Oneida County Jail where he was held pending his arraignment on a later date.​
