Sheriff’s Office is seeking Special Patrol Officers (SPOs)

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified applicants for open Special Patrol Officer (SPO) positions within the Sheriff’s Office. Oneida County Sheriff's Office Special Patrol Officers are assigned to a variety of security posts throughout our County, including assignment to various school districts and other Oneida County municipal properties for security services.

Minimum qualifications - Candidates must be a retired Police Officer (Deputy, Police Officer or Trooper) or a retired Peace Officer (Corrections Officer, Parole Officer or Probation Officer) from New York State. Candidates must possess a valid NYS Pistol Permit and also a valid NYS Drivers License.
