According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol; On 10/28/24 around 9:52 a.m., road patrol deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident yielding entrapment on State Route 13 in the Town of Florence.

Road Patrol Deputies determined that the operator Michael Brady (34) of Taberg was traveling westerly when multiple deer entered the roadway. Brady swerved to avoid contact with the deer but overcorrected the 2020 Nissan Rogue he was operating resulting in Brady exiting the northerly shoulder of the roadway and making contact with a ditch and metal chain link fence before the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its driver side. Brady sustained non-life threating injuries and was transported by Camden Ambulance to Rome Hospital for further evaluation.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Camden Fire Department, Florence Fire Department, New York State Police, Camden Village Police Department, and The Shop Collision and Towing.
