Motor vehicle accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol,

A Utica woman was sent to the hospital for minor injuries after a 2 car accident in the Town of Marcy.

Trevor Welsh, 19 of Vernon Center, was operating his 2005 Dodge pick-up in a northern direction on Oriskany Road in the Town of Marcy when he rear ended Lisa Mullen, 49 of Utica, who was operating her 2013 Toyota Rav4 and was stopped and waiting for oncoming traffic in order to complete a turn onto the 49 East Bound Ramp.

Mullen was transported to St. Elizabeth's hospital by Kunkel Ambulance for evaluation of Neck, Back and Leg pain.

Welsh was issued a ticket for following too closely, returnable to Marcy Town Court at a later date.

Assisting on scene were members of the New York State Police and Stittville Volunteer Fire Department.
