According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol a Camden man avoided serious injury after colliding with a utility pole on Cemetery Rd. in the Town of Camden. On 10/29/18 at around 2:38 PM Robert Tyrrell, 25, of Camden was traveling south on Cemetery Rd. in a 2008 Dodge Avenger when he lost control of his vehicle as he rounded a curve in the roadway. Tyrrell’s vehicle sustained heavy damage after colliding with a utility pole off the east shoulder of Cemetery Rd. Tyrrell was evaluated at the scene after complaining of knee pain, but refused further medical treatment. Tyrrell was issued traffic summons for unsafe speed, and failure to keep right. Both summons are returnable to Town of Camden Court on a later date. Members of the Camden Fire Department, and Camden Ambulance assisted at the scene. National Grid is currently on scene and working to restore power to the area.
