Child Advocacy Center Receives Blankets From New Hartford Elementary Students

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Mrs. Meggan Alt’s 4th grade class at E.R. Hughes Elementary School in New Hartford again donated nearly two dozen hand-made blankets to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center. The blankets were made by the children in Mrs. Alt’s class as part of an annual project that they started last year. The blankets will be used at the Child Advocacy Center for the children they work with in an effort to assist them as they receive services at the center.

Accepting the blankets from the children and Mrs. Alt yesterday on behalf of the Child Advocacy Center were Sheriff Robert Maciol, Undersheriff Joseph Lisi, and Investigators & advocates from the center.

Sheriff Maciol and Undersheriff Lisi presented a Sheriff’s Office Appreciation Plaque to the children for making such a positive contribution to those in need in our community.
