According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome man is in custody after stealing his ex-girlfriends cell phone during a domestic dispute.

Brian K. Platt, 28 of Rome, is in custody after being charged with Petit Larceny, a class A Misdemeanor, after stealing his ex-girlfriends cell phone from her residence. On 01/04/2019 at around 01:30 AM, Deputies responded to the residence for a reported domestic in progress. Upon arriving, Deputies learned that Brian showed up at the residence, walked into the victims bedroom and took her cell phone without her permission.

Platt was transported to the Oneida County Jail where he is currently being held pending arraignment.
