According to Sheriff Maciol of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, two drivers were injured Saturday afternoon in the Town of LEE at 11:57AM on January 5th, 2019 in a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Timothy Hickey,49 of Rome was traveling North on Route 26 in the Town of LEE operating his 2018 GMC Terrain, Black in color . Hickey was attempting to make a right hand turn into a parking lot near Delta Lumber, North of Cemetery Road when Bonnie Staple, 50 of Taberg who was operating a 2012 Subaru Outback, Green in color, rear ended Hickey's vehicle.

Both driver's were treated at the scene by members of the Lake Delta Fire Department and Lee Center Fire Department and EMS personnel. Both driver's were transported by AmCare ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Staple was issued a traffic summons for following to closely to return to Town of LEE Court.
