With this being one of the busier snowmobiling weekends in Oneida County, our Sheriff’s Snowmobile Patrol Unit is out on the trails. These photos were taken yesterday on Trail C7 in the Town of Forestport. While conducting a safety check, one of the trail groomers stopped to say hello to Investigator Mark Chrysler and Deputy Rob Snider. We would like to remind everyone of the laws that will be strictly enforced in order to keep everyone safe and to keep the 650 miles of trails groomed and open. They include operating a snowmobile while intoxicated, speeding violations, registration violations, and exhaust modifications. The need to respect the landowners that make nearly all of the groomed trails possible is a must.
