According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol a Kirkville man was arrested following a domestic incident in the Town of Verona on Saturday February 9th 2019.

Police were called to an address on Route 365 in the Town of Verona during a domestic dispute. Upon Deputies arrival they found two parties at the residence with head and facial injuries. Deputies determined suspect, George McDonald, 22 of Kirkville, New York was involved in the incident and fled the scene prior to the police arrival. Both injured parties were transported to the local Hospital by Vineall ambulance.

Deputies were able to make contact with McDonald who agreed to voluntarily turn himself in. McDonald was charged with two counts of Assault in the 3rd degree and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. McDonald is being held at the Oneida County Jail awaiting arraignment.

Assisting on scene were members of the Verona Volunteer Fire Department as well as Vineall Ambulance.
