On Wednesday evening, the Local Government Education Committee of Herkimer and Oneida Counties invited Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol and Sgt. Bernie Kennett of the NY State Police to be guest speakers at their training session that was held at the Town of Trenton Municipal Building.

Sheriff Maciol and Sgt. Kennett spoke to a full room of elected and appointed officials including Town Supervisors, Planning and Zoning Board Members, and Codes Enforcement Officers from several area towns about the Insights and Regulations related to the Amish Community. There was focus on traffic related issues and concerns.

At the conclusion of the law enforcement presentation, there was a period of questions and answers for those in attendance.
