According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, 2 people were sent to the hospital following a Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 365 in the City of Rome. On February 22, 2019 at approximately 1:45 PM, Muhammad Maudarbocus, 48 of Rutherford New Jersey, was operating a USA Trucking Inc. tractor trailer westbound on State Route 365 when the tractor trailer collided with an SUV at the Intersection with South James Street in the City of Rome. The operator of the SUV, Elizabeth Monroe, 79 of Rome, and the passenger, Barbara Lamphear, 68 also of Rome were transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for evaluation of their injuries. Maudarbocus was issued a traffic ticket for Failure to Stop at a Stop Light which is returnable to Rome City Court at a later date. Assisting on scene were members of Amcare Ambulance, Rome Fire Department and Stanwix Heights Volunteer Fire Department.
