According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 16 year old male has been arrested for having inappropriate physical contact with a 14 year old female in February of 2019.

The incident was reported in late February and was assigned to Oneida County Sheriff’s Investigator Mark R. Chrysler. During the investigation, it was learned that the contact occurred earlier in the month in the Village of Whitesboro.

The boy, whose name is being withheld due to his age, was charged on March 7, 2019, with one count of Forcible Touching and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both of which are misdemeanors. The male will appear at Juvenile Probation later this month to answer the charges against him.

An Order of Protection is being sought for the female victim and services have been offered through the Child Advocacy Center.
