According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit; On March 10, 2019 at approximately 1:30 AM, Jay M. Mather, age37 of Verona, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony. Mr. Mather’s was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Erie Blvd. in the City of Rome, for not having its headlights on. During the vehicle and traffic stop, Mr. Mather’s was found to be in possession of metal knuckles and was arrested without incident. Mr. Mather’s was turned over to the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending his arraignment.
