According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Berkshire Bank was robbed at approximately 11:15am this morning. Sheriff's Maciol stated that a white male in his fifties wearing a cowboy hat entered the bank . He displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. The suspect left on foot onto main Street with an undermined amount of money. Members of the Sheriff's criminal investigation unit and forensic unit are on the scene. The Sheriff's Office is being assisted at the scene by the NYSP . Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to contact them at 315-736-0141. The investigation is ongoing and more information will follow as it becomes available.
