On Saturday May 11th, 2019 at approximately 03:00 A.M., Sheriff Deputies responded to a reported hit and run motor vehicle accident on State Route 5, near Skyline Drive in the Town of Westmoreland. The victim reported that she observed what appeared to be a white SUV style vehicle attempt to pass her in the eastbound lane of Route 5. While the suspect vehicle attempted to pass the victim, the suspect vehicle struck the victim’s vehicle causing heavy damage to the driver side door and air bag deployment. The victim could not get a make/model, or plate number of the suspect vehicle

The Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for the public’s help in attempting to identify the owner of a white SUV style vehicle, with possible damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. Anyone who was traveling on State Route 5 (eastbound), on Saturday May 11, 2019 at around 2:45-3:00 A.M., and has any information regarding the incident, or that may have seen a vehicle matching that description, please contact the Deputy Gibbons at 315-765-2740.
