According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on May 26th, 2019 around 1215 hours, Deputies responded to a two car motor vehicle accident on State Route 365 in the Town of Floyd. Deputies determined Taylor Gonyea (28) from Barneveld, was operating a black 2017 Mazda SUV turning out of a driveway to travel north on State Route 365. Gonyea failed to yield the right away resulting in her vehicle being struck by a black 2003 Ford pickup driven by Nathan Draper (18) from Prospect, who was also traveling north on State Route 365. Draper was complaining of pain to his head as a result of the accident and was transported by AmCare Ambulance to St. Lukes Hospital for further evaluation. Gonyea was cited for failing to yield the right away when entering the roadway and will appear in Floyd Town Court at a later date and time.

Deputies were assisted by the New York State Police as well as members of the Floyd Fire Department.
