According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, an Annsville man was arrested for having sexual contact with a child. Utica Police Investigator Frederick Bruzzese III and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, both assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Matthew J. Darling, 38, for having sexual contact with a female child under the age of 11 while in the Town of Annsville. Darling was arrested for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a class D Felony. Darling was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and held at the Oneida County Jail pending an arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court. An order of protection on behalf of the victim has been requested and the victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center. Felony
