According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, today June 3, 2019, there was a heavy police presence in the City Rome, in the area of Runnings and Fastrac, located on Rome Taberg Road.

Deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office are currently conducting an investigation into the 911 call that came in as a Menacing around 7:12 PM from a citizen at Runnings. At no time was there any danger to the public.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by members of the Rome Police Department, New York State Police, and New York State Park Police.

More details may be released at a later time. At this time the heavy police presence has since cleared up.
