A huge thank you to the students at Adirondack High School for yesterday’s delivery of our garden plants that will be planted in our Correctional Facility Garden as part of our Inmate Horticultural Program. Following a long time tradition, these tomato, pepper, squash, zucchini, cucumber, pumpkin, and pole bean plants were all grown by the Adirondack students in their school greenhouse and then delivered to the Sheriff’s Office for the inmates to plant, maintain, and eventually harvest. The vegetables will be for the inmates to enjoy along with some being donated to those less fortunate in our community. Hats of to our Jail Programs Staff for their commitment to this rewarding program!
