According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on June 17, 2019 around 2:52 PM Deputies responded top a single car motor vehicle accident on State Route 13 in the Town of Vienna. Deputies determined Samuel Dunfield (17) of Blossvale was operating a 2003 gold Buick LaSabre south bound near Elpis Road when he lost consciousness and failed to maintain his lane subsequently causing him to go off the western shoulder of the roadway. Samuel then struck a earth embankment and went air born for approximately 50 feet and then stuck a utility pole owned by National Grid. Samuel's vehicle then came to rest on its driver side. Samuel and his passenger, Holly Dunfield (15) of Blossvale, both were complaining of neck and back pain. Both Samuel and Holly were transported to St. Elizabeth's by AmCare ambulance to be further evaluated. Samuel was cited for failing to used designated lane and will appear in Vienna Town Court at a later date and time. Deputies were assisted by McConnellsville Fire Department and Camden Fire Dept and AmCare Ambulance.
