According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol there was a 2 car motor vehicle accident on Route 13 in Verona at around 5:06 PM on June 22. Anthony Schaeffer age 31, of Syracuse was operating his 2019 Ford northbound on Route 13 in Verona when he struck 2017 Subaru being driven by Patricia Waters, age 65 of Syracuse. Waters was transported to Oneida Hospital by Vineall Ambulance for complaints of pain from her seat belt, her passenger, William Waters, age 64, of Syracuse, was not injured. Schaeffer and his passenger, Kristina Martinez, age 19, of Verona Beach, were not injured. Sylvan Beach FD, Vineall Ambulance, and JK Towing assisted on scene.
