According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Utica man was arrested for having sexual intercourse with a child. Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator’s C.J. Paravati and Ryan Marshall, both assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Seth D. Bidwell, 24, for having sexual intercourse with a female child under the age of 11 while in the City of Utica. Bidwell was arrested for Rape in the First Degree, a Class B Felony. Bidwell was processed at the Utica Police Department and held pending an arraignment in Utica City Court. A bail recommendation of $50,000 cash was requested by the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office. An order of protection has also been requested on behalf of the victim. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
