According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy…
According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for having sexual contact with a child. Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested the juvenile for having sexual contact with a female child under the age of 14 while in the Town of Vernon. The juvenile was given an appearance ticket for Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, an A Misdemeanor, returnable to Rome Juvenile Probation on a later date. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
