According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Utica man was arrested for having sexual contact with a child. Utica Police Investigator Frederick Bruzzese III, assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Emanuel Reed, 33, for having sexual contact with a female child under the age of 14 while in the City of Utica. Reed was arrested for Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, all Misdemeanors. Reed was processed at the Utica Police Department and arraigned in Utica City Court. Reed was released on his own recognizance and an order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
